As the year comes to a close, we couldn't help but look back at some of your favourite recipes from the year. We can't thank you enough for all of your feedback, including the sharing on your favourite social media platforms (hello, Instagram!). 

We've seen amazing baking being shared in our Facebook Bakers Club, including some incredible results from both first-time sourdough bakers and experienced bakers alike! Our Facebook Recipe Club is a space to get our newest recipes first-hand, plus any others we are inspired by. We're excited about another year of sharing delicious meals with you, but first here's a look back at your favourites from the last 12 months.


Spiced Kabuli Chickpea Soup:

By far your favourite recipe of the year! It's easy to see why with this comforting combo of our creamy Canadian-grown Kabuli Chickpeas blended with tomato and warming spices.

Caramelized Shallot French Lentils: 

A recipe many of you are making over and over! Our premium French Lentils shine here with fresh thyme, wine, and mushrooms. Serve with optional broiled cheese bread (any kind will do), and enjoy hearty winter comfort food at its finest.

Chloe's Conscious Chickpea Curry: 

This recipe is proof that collaboration is key! This beautiful golden curry by our friend Chloe Elgar of Chloe's Countertop fits the bill for an exceptionally tasty plant-based meal. Use it as a main dish for vegetarians, or serve as a colourful side to any meat dish. It's surprisingly quick to make too with pre-cooked Kabuli Chickpeas.

Classic Hummus With Pine Nuts, Grilled Artichokes + Olive Oil: 

There's so much to love about the dressed up version of our Classic From-scratch Hummus, including grilled artichokes, toasted pine nuts, za'atar, and fresh parsley. Of course only good olive oil too. It's the perfect party hummus.

Summer Wheat Berry Salad: 

This recipe is a delicious combination of summer veggies with everyone's favourite Wheat Berries! Play with the ingredients and herbs based on what's available at the market, or growing in your own patch of ground. This recipe can easily be made in winter with imported zucchini and tomatoes.

Fall Wheat Berry, Squash & Chickpea Salad: 

So it looks like what we suspected is confirmed, you guys love Wheat Berry salads! This stunner of a salad is incredible, with chickpeas, a bright poppy seed dressing and roasted squash. We can't recommend this delicious salad enough. It's a winner.

Weeknight French Lentil Stew With Greens: 

Easy weeknight recipes for the win! With a few quality pantry staples, dinner is on the table fast. Plus, it's incredibly delicious, thanks to our tender French Lentils and added flavour from clarified butter.

Moroccan Spiced Winter Farro Salad: 

More grain salads, because they are pretty much the perfect food, right?! This salad is the tastiest, best way to use up some of our favourite winter vegetables and our Alberta-grown Farro provides the perfect chewy contrast. The flavours mingle perfectly together to create a lively, warming dish that is perfect for the winter months.

The Best Roasted Chickpeas: 

Because no good recipe list would be complete with roasted chickpeas! It's hard to believe it took us so long to share our method for the absolute best roasted chickpeas, but we are definitely glad we did! After requests from several customers, we finally provided our tried and true method for the tastiest, easily customizable roasted Kabuli Chickpeas.

The list is complete with the dead-easy recipe that even took us by surprise. It sounds almost too basic, but this recipe is the definition of simple and delicious with this rich and flavourful tomato sauce combined with our super creamy Kabuli chickpeas
