It's Galette Season: 3 Inspired Summer Recipes

Photo by Sophie Bourdon, The Green Life

Over the past week, we've been delighted to see a few of our favourite people light up the internet with their beautiful galettes featuring juicy summer fruits and berries.

It seems galettes are everywhere this time of year, and for good reason, since they're as tasty as your grandmother's pie without the skill or patience required to fuss with crust. And did we mention our flours are perfect for them? Our freshly milled flours taste even more exceptional when mixed with your choice of fat (our choice is always a good butter) and baked.

Here are the three that we were drooling over this week, from good friends who we trust to know what's delicious.

Peach Galette with Sifted Red Spring Flour:
Gayle McLeod of The Soup Solution made this Peach Galette and shared it in her Insta-stories. It's always so great to get a behind the scenes look! We love that she used our Sifted Red Spring Flour and peaches, since they are just coming into season now. Get the recipe she used from Epicurious here

Blueberry Lemon Galette with Rye Flour:
Samantha Gutmanis at My Kitchen Love shared this beauty she posted to her blog from last year too, this time with a little of our Organic Whole Grain Rye Flour thrown in the mix. You can get her recipe for Blueberry Lemon Galette here

Mixed Berry Galette with Red Fife Flour:
Finally, our Montreal-based friend Sophie Bourdon from The Green Life created this brand new (and jaw-droppingly beautiful) Mixed Berry Galette featuring our Organic Sifted Red Fife Flour. Head to Sophie's site here for the recipe

We love seeing your creations after picking up flour at FLOUR SHOP! Our next FLOUR SHOP in Vancouver is August 19th. Join our Facebook Event here
